Dr. Reza-Ali Fallahpour

Reza-Ali Fallahpour was born in Ghaem Shahr, Iran, 1961 and finished high school in Iran (1979). In October 1980 he moved to Innsbruck, Austria, where he learned German and subsequently studied chemistry. After receiving his diploma (1988) he joined Professor H.-J. Hansen's group at the University of Zurich, Switzerland (1989) and obtained his PhD (1994). After 2 years of post-doctoral research with Prof. E. C. Constable at the University of Basel, Switzerland, he started his own research (1996-2001). At the end of 2000 he joined Professor J. Hulliger's Group at the University of Bern, Switzerland. In January 2001 he moved to Rolic Research Ltd in Allschwil, Switzerland and founded his own company HetCat at the end of 2003 in Basel. In 2003 he obtained his Habilitation (Venia Legendi) from the University of Basel. In 2005, he moved to the University of Zurich, joined Professor Jay Siegel's group, where he obtained his Habilitation (Venia Legendi) from the University of Zurich. During that time and after, he has been intensively working with HetCat.
